Key points in Romania in 2014

1. Three billion euros market. According to the estimates made ??by the analysts, based on the information from ANRE and Transelectrica, in 2014, in the renewable energy market from Romania will be invested €3 billion, after €6 billion already invested in Romania in 2009-2013.

According to the ANRE information, in 2014 expires the permissions for setting up certain projects, which means that in 2014 in Romania it will be installed new plants, as follows: 750 MW – PV, 1,200 MW – wind, 70 MW – hydroelectric, 5, 5 MW biogas- 45 MW biomass. In addition to these power plants will be added power less than 1 MW which will be put into operation during 2014.

3. Subsidies for small installations. According to the National Agency for Energy Regulation – ANRE, in 2014, in Romania will be given significant subsidies to private households and small companies for producing electricity on the roofs and for PV installations under 1 MW, for small hydropower and wind energy under 1 MW. Also at under 2 MW capacity, will be given subsidies for biomass and biogas plants.

The feed-in tariff might range from €186 to €200 per megawatt according to the calculation method proposed by ANRE (the National Energy Regulatory Authority).
