S-Energy Co., Ltd has succeeded in establishing the worlds first certified 1,500V by UL, as a leader of this project who provided UL with some motivation for improving its standard.
The advantage of the new 1,500V module is the significant reduction of power losses in electrical transformers, the reduction in installation cost of approximately 10% due to 50 % longer strings, and the usage of less combiners and cables, and most importantly is PID (Potential Induced Degradation) free. In addition, the module provides the highest UL PV module fire performance Type 1 or Type 2 applicable to system fire class A, improving safety during an emergency. The new model is backed by the companys 25-year linear power warranty.
For the module design, regarding electrical safety and performance, the entire bill of materials to 1,500V components is upgraded in order to maximize system performance. The brand new 1,500V module is available now for installation.
The introduction of this new module extends the S-Energy portfolio of photovoltaic products, enabling their partner to install more efficient and durable residential, utility and commercial power plants.
S-Energy will showcase its 1,500V module at the Intersolar North America in San Francisco, USA. This trade show is a 3 day event and will end on 16th July, 2015. S-Energys booth is located in West Hall, Level 1, 7045.
