Presented by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, the award is based on audited financial statements from the previous year's reported revenue provided by applicants, and verified by an outside accounting firm.

"SilRay's inclusion as one the 50 fastest growing private companies in Silicon Valley highlights its unique market position serving small and medium sized businesses interested in solar," said April Zhong, CEO of SilRay.

"With a wide-range of companies looking to take advantage of the solar tax credits, SilRay is leading the industry by providing customized solutions to businesses interested in going green, saving on energy costs and creating an environmentally-conscious corporate culture that is important for human capital retention and recruitment, new client acquisition and community relations."

SilRay has received numerous other distinctions, including recognition as the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Retail Energy Firm of the Year, ASIAN, Inc.’s Minority Business Enterprise of the Year, and most recently it was named one of the 100 fastest growing Asian American-owned businesses by the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

"Having a business in a high growth market and achieving the distinction of one the fastest growing companies means that you are doing a lot right," said Dr. Brent Lee, a key commercial real estate developer in Silicon Valley. "SilRay constructed a solar photovoltaic system on the roof of my building in downtown San Jose, one of the tallest buildings west of the Mississippi, and in addition to the high quality installation, what really stood out is their client-sided approach in all of our key dealings."

The award with specific ranking will be presented at Villa Ragusa, Campbell, California on Thursday, Oct. 15.
