Presented by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, the award is based on audited financial statements from the previous year's reported revenue provided by applicants, and verified by an outside accounting firm.

SilRay has received numerous other distinctions, including recognition as the U.S. Department of Commerces Minority Retail Energy Firm of the Year, ASIAN, Inc.s Minority Business Enterprise of the Year, and most recently it was named one of the 100 fastest growing Asian American-owned businesses by the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
