Solar Frontier Europe opens branch office in Italy and expands its European presence

Since opening the Munich office, Solar Frontier has built a strong presence by extending its distribution networks across all major markets in Europe as well as in Israel and the African sunbelt countries. The new branch office in Italy will further strengthen Solar Frontier’s presence in the Mediterranean countries and cover its existing networks in Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus, while entering new markets in Northern Africa.

Thanks to the strengths of CIS technology, Solar Frontier’s thin-film modules deliver compelling economics, energy conversion efficiency and overall power output (kWh) in real-world conditions. Strengths include high temperature stability, deriving from a lower temperature coefficient than crystalline silicon, which means more kWh produced under real conditions in hotter climates.

“To date, we have supplied our CIS modules within a wide range of sectors and geographies in the Mediterranean countries, ranging from residential and industrial rooftop installations in Italy to power plants in Spain and Greece. The outstanding results show evidence of Solar Frontier’s advantages in hot temperature areas. Our customers value not only the reliability and high output generation under sub-optimal conditions, but also the aesthetics of panels that blend in better with beautiful architecture and landscapes,” said Valter Pische, Sales Manager, Southern Europe at Solar Frontier Europe.

“The major projects we have put into production so far also are proof of the confidence that banks, investors and power station building companies have in Solar Frontier. This includes our products as well as our high production capacities and the sustainability of our corporate strategy. It is why we also have bankability in Germany and Italy after positive inspections by banks such as the Italian Intesa Sanpaolo bank, and audits and tests by TÜV and Fraunhofer Institute. These are successes that have helped us to strengthen not only our position in these countries, but also our entry into new markets,” said Wolfgang Lange, Managing Director, Solar Frontier Europe. “The new branch office increases our presence in the Italian market and the whole Mediterranean area.”
