SolarBridge takes ACPV roadshow and training to California’s fast-growing solar market

The training is being held to educate California’s rapidly growing solar workforce. With more than 110,000 solar-powered homes, California is leading the nation in residential solar. As equipment prices keep dropping, the industry is primed to maintain its rapid growth rate over the coming years.

Solar technologies like TrueAC modules — which are simpler, safer and more powerful – will attract even more homeowners to solar and keep the state’s solar workforce on a steady path of sustained growth.

“The U.S. rooftop solar market will continue to grow rapidly, and as it does we want to make sure the solar workforce is prepared,” said Craig Lawrence, VP of Marketing, SolarBridge Technologies. “As we travel the country on our roadshow, we’ve been very gratified by the response of installers and integrators who clearly see the need for simple, reliable solutions that can help them accelerate their businesses.”

Systems using TrueAC modules can be installed up to 50 percent faster than DC modules with detached microinverters and produce up to 25 percent more power than string inverters with dramatically improved design flexibility. Through the ACPV Revolution Roadshow, SolarBridge is providing free technology training for solar installers on TrueAC modules, which are designed, tested and certified as a single assembly by SolarBridge and its module manufacturing partners.

At this training, experienced and aspiring installers will have the opportunity to gain hands-on training installing TrueAC modules powered by SolarBridge microinverters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with the latest software monitoring tools and compete for prizes in an installation showdown.

All participants will receive four continuing education credits from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), the leading solar workforce certification agency. The NABCEP training is presented in partnership with Ontility, a leader in solar training and education. The SolarBridge ACPV Revolution Roadshow has been traveling the U.S. since November, with stops in some of the fastest growing U.S. solar states including New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Texas, California and Arizona.

Additional stops are being made in emerging markets such as New Orleans, Chicago and St. Louis. The training times and locations are: Tues., Feb. 12 1-6 p.m. City College 1400 Evans Ave. San Francisco Thurs., Feb. 14 1-6 p.m. Hilton San Diego Airport 1960 Harbor Island Drive San Diego Fri., Feb. 15 Hilton San Diego Airport 1960 Harbor Island Drive San Diego Sponsored by Mage Solar For a complete list of tour stops and to register for the training, visit www.solarbridgetech.com/roadshow
