The partnership aims to align with the Government of Malaysia’s National Policy on Industry 4.0, and complements Solarvest’s existing capabilities, allowing the company to emerge as a total solutions provider and digital transformation leader in popularising renewable energy use in Malaysia.
- Solarvest will be the exclusive distributor and delivery partner of Envision Digital’s cloud-based advanced analytics applications for Malaysia’s solar industry, with the first step of deploying Envision Digital’s advanced analytics and remote monitoring applications to manage 200 megawatt (MW) of solar assets
- These applications will be utilised in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) projects that are currently in the pipeline
- By enhancing Solarvest’s competitive edge when bidding for new PV system Operation and Maintenance (O&M) projects, these new capabilities will also support the Group’s strategic ambition to grow in the solar domain.
Through this latest partnership, Envision Digital continues to accelerate its global business momentum despite the COVID-19 pandemic, building on similar partnerships from earlier this year to develop the first smart grid for Thailand’s major energy company, PTT Public Company Ltd – which contributes to approximately 16 percent of the country’s GDP, to digitalise operations at Malaysia’s national power company, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) – for its large-scale solar facility in Sepang, Selangor, and the recent deal with ORIX to deploy advanced analytics and remote monitoring applications in utility-scale solar farms across 82 sites in Japan.
