Solis 350kW Solar Inverter Makes European Debut with First Utility-Scale Project

Share

— Solis has completed its first 350kW Solar inverter PV project in Europe, supplying power to a newly operational 2.8MWn PV farm just outside Tczew, Poland. With plans already in place to expand the site to 4.5MW, the project marks a key milestone for Solis’ utility-scale presence across the continent.

For the project’s developer, the choice was simple: fewer inverters mean fewer cables, less ongoing maintenance, and lower overall costs. That made the Solis 350kW solar inverter the obvious pick.

“This was all about keeping things streamlined,” said a representative from the site. “Less equipment, less work during commissioning, and ultimately fewer headaches. The 350kW unit ticked every box.”

Big on Simplicity, Built for Scale

Installed for the sole purpose of selling energy back to the grid, the farm is focused entirely on financial return — and the system was designed with that in mind. Despite a technical challenge involving a gas pipeline running through the land, the site is now fully operational and generating income.

The S6-GU350K-EHV solar inverter brought a range of advantages, including:

  • Up to 16 MPPTs and 99% peak efficiency
  • 150% DC/AC ratio for greater design flexibility
  • Broad module compatibility, including bifacial 182mm and 210mm formats
  • IP66 and C5-level protection for tough outdoor conditions
  • Built-in PID recovery and a fuse-free design
  • Night SVG, remote firmware upgrades, and optional PLC comms

Looking Ahead

Seeing our 350kW inverter in action here in Europe is a proud moment for the team.” Said Gregory Lukens, Solis’ European Utility Scale Director. “It’s proof that large-scale solar doesn’t need to be overcomplicated to deliver strong, reliable results.

Across Europe, we’ve now got over 200MW of Solis systems up and running — and we’re continuing to grow. Our inverters are just part of that story. More and more, we’re supporting developers with complete utility-scale solutions, whether that’s MV stations, advanced monitoring tools, or seamless data integration.

For us, it’s about giving customers everything they need to move quickly, reduce risk, and build smart, scalable solar projects. This installation in Poland is a great example of how keeping things simple — and working with the right partners — can really pay off.
