The Solar Power International exhibition (Dallas, Texas, USA) will mark the world premiere launch of Soltec's latest development: the Solarfighter. This new product represents an authentic revolution in microphotovoltaics (microPV).

The Solarfighter is a comprehensive microPV solution with solar tracking. The distinguishing features of the Solarfighter are its high energy yield and compactness: Microtracker, PV module, high efficiency microinverter, wiring and monitoring are the components that make up the system.

The Solarfighter can be optimally installed in minutes on residential or commercial buildings and be remotely accessed through a smartphone or via web for remote control of the system, monitoring of instant power, production history, security functions, etc.

The design was completely developed by the R&D department at the headquarters of the Spanish multinational Soltec, located in Molina de Segura.

"It was a challenge to transpose the benefits of a utility scale photovoltaic system to the residential sector. The tracker can increase the yield of the installation by more than 30 percent with respect to a conventional fixed installation and the speed of installation and the monitoring system are only comparable to those of a multi MW plant. All this, at a price that makes it available to the wide majority of residential customers, is an authentic revolution. “Says Thomas Grant, Director of Soltec's R&D department.

"Soltec's international structure is prepared to introduce the Solarfighter in countries where net metering is a reality or will be soon: USA, Australia, Chile, Spain, Italy, France and Scandinavia are our immediate objectives," says Raul Morales, Soltec's Chairman.
