Sungrow inverters applied in largest rooftop PV project in US

Invested and developed by a famous local EPC, a 2 MW PV power plant in the U.S. city of Chicago, Illinois, was officially put into operation recently, which is considered the largest rooftop PV project in the country so far, and exclusively using 500 kW PV inverters manufactured by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd.

This central inverter of outdoor design, SG500LV, is a targeted product for the North American market and launched in 2012 after CSA certified.

In addition to its NEMA 3R protection degree and LVRT function, this 500 kW PV inverter is also featured with flexible grid dispatching, easy installation and maintenance, high CEC efficiency at 98.0%, which contributing a lot to the stable performance and high yield during the plant’s trial operation since the end of October.
