With 305Wp nominal power and up to 15.7 percent efficiency, the high-performance module is ideally suited for large-scale commercial projects seeking low levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
The module will be on display at Solar Expo 2012 in Verona, Italy during May 9-11, 2012 for the first time in Europe and is available immediately throughout Europe.
Residential is a strong sector in Europe, and over the last few months, we have introduced several module series that are ideally suited for smaller roof top systems, said Jerry Stokes, President of Suntech Europe. The commercial market is another very attractive sector particularly considering that solar electricity today is already competitive with conventional energy prices in many markets. Our 305W module, which combines high-efficiency with excellent reliability, is well suited to commercial projects.
Suntechs module series with SuperPoly technology achieves high efficiency by utilizing an advanced ingot casting process, which combines the benefits of monocrystalline silicon wafers (high efficiency) and polycrystalline silicon wafers (square wafers and better temperature performance) into one product. The environmentally friendly production process significantly reduces energy consumption during wafer production, results in minimal scrap, and produces modules with a high power output.
The 72-cell / 6-inch module has one of the highest fill factors in the industry with a large scale format of 1956 x 992 mm, which reduces installation costs and delivers a lower LCOE. The SuperPoly technology also achieves low oxygen content resulting in stable power output and low light-induced degradation. Another important feature is the modules excellent performance at high temperature, making it particularly suitable for projects in hot conditions.
The product line offers Suntech's industry-leading 25-year power output warranty and a workmanship warranty of 10 years. In addition, the panels feature 0/+5 percent positive power tolerance and have been built to withstand all weather conditions, including 3.800 Pascal wind load and 5.400 Pascal snow loads, well above IEC standard requirements.
