T.B. Penick & Sons, Inc. (Penick), an ENR Top 100 design-build, general contracting, and construction management company, and Solarrus Corporation (Solarrus), a full service solar energy company providing residential, commercial and utility scale design, installation and maintenance services, together announced a new joint venture focused on bringing the benefits of solar power to government and education customers.
The joint venture, entitled Penick-SI, provides cost effective solar energy with no upfront capital expenditure to government agency customers through power purchase agreements. The programs benefits come from reducing initial development time and costs, as well as lowering ongoing electricity costs to customers and providing industry leading operations and maintenance services.
The joint venture is led by Maureen McDonald, Vice President of Solarrus and General Manager for the Penick-SI joint venture. With Penick and Solarrus, Penick-SI offers extensive solar design experience, a century of design-build experience, and long-term maintenance experience, a combination that is not seen in the industry today.

Penick & Sons, added Maureen McDonald, Vice President of Solarrus and General Manager for the Penick-SI joint venture.
