The Bring Back Solar Alliance today announced that Radiant Solar Solutions of NV has joined the Alliance. Radiant Solar Solutions of NV, a division of Pueblo Electrical Services, Inc, is a small business based in Las Vegas. The solar division was founded in April of 2015 to provide turnkey residential and commercial solar installations. The business grew quickly to meet the high demand for solar in Nevada, and became one of the largest locally- based solar companies in the state. In January, following the Public Utilities Commissions anti- solar decision, it was forced to lay off 15 people, 90% of its workforce, and is considering relocating these employees to states with more business-friendly policies.
We are proud to stand with the Bring Back Solar Alliance in the fight to bring back solar to Nevada, said Kevin Romney, Radiant Solars Spokesperson. Nevada is the perfect state for solar, and until this job-killing ruling, was the perfect state for us to grow our business. Thats why Radiant Solar was able to grow so quickly, creating good-paying jobs and helping our customers save money on their energy bills. Now, because of the Public Utilities Commission, we were forced to lay-off 90% of our hard-working labor force. Our employees are like our family, and we want to bring their jobs back home to Nevada by winning this referendum in November.
The Bring Back Solar Alliance has filed a referendum that would overturn the Public Utilities Commissions new rules at the ballot box this November. The referendum is supported by over 90,000 Nevadans, nearly double the 55,000 signatures needed to it on the ballot, as well as a broad coalition of Nevada businesses, not-for-profits, and outraged homeowners working together to fight the Public Utilities Commissions unpopular new net metering rules.
