“The League of Women Voters of Las Vegas Valley is proud to join the Bring Back Solar Alliance” said Sondra Cosgrove, the League’s President. “We have been at the forefront of the environmental protection movement for decades, consistently supporting legislation to preserve our nation’s natural resources and protect our public health. That’s why we know it is so vital to restore the Nevada solar industry. We believe that a path toward a clean energy future will strengthen our economy by rescuing America from its dependence on fossil fuels, reducing threats to our health, protecting our natural resources, and creating millions of green jobs.”

The Bring Back Solar Alliance, composed of Nevada businesses, not-for-profits, and outraged homeowners, is working to put a referendum on the November ballot that will overturn the Public Utilities Commission’s new net metering rules and bring solar back to Nevada. The Alliance is supported by over 90,000 Nevadans, nearly double the 55,000 signatures needed to put the referendum on the ballot in November.
