The previous edition of the event, held in November 2025, hosted more than 57,000 professional visitors and over 800 exhibitors, with 10% international participation from 76 countries—mainly from Europe (61%, led by Portugal, Italy, Germany, and France), the Americas (18%), and Africa (6%, particularly from the Maghreb).

IFEMA MADRID has officially opened the participation process for companies wishing to take part in the 2026 International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week. The event is organised by IFEMA MADRID with the support of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), and once again will have the institutional backing of MITECO, leading industry associations, as well as specialised media and technical press. GENERA and MATELEC will once again be held jointly from 24 to 26 November 2026. Interested companies can now submit their applications through the links available on the GENERA and MATELEC websites.

GENERA is aimed at companies working in renewable energy, photovoltaics, storage, energy management, and the operation and maintenance of installations, positioning itself as the benchmark showcase for solutions related to the energy transition.

MATELEC, meanwhile, brings together manufacturers and distributors of electrical equipment, electrical installation companies, lighting, electronics, automation, control, efficiency, and electric vehicle infrastructure solutions. It has become a key meeting point for the electrical and electronic sectors.

The upcoming edition, taking place from 24 to 26 November 2026 at IFEMA MADRID, is part of a project focused on electrification, renewable energies, storage, efficiency, and the transformation of the production ecosystem. Its agenda includes, among others, the electrification of industrial processes, self-consumption, smart grids, demand

management, digitalisation, building automation systems, and infrastructure for decarbonisation.

The previous edition attracted more than 57,000 professional visitors and over 800 exhibitors, positioning the 2026 project as an ecosystem designed to drive green reindustrialisation, the electrification of the building and industrial sectors, and the digitalisation of installations. The event will again feature the support of specialised media and technical press. This momentum will broaden the participation of organisations and professionals from diverse markets, consolidating the International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week as a global reference ecosystem for the energy transition and the modernisation of the production landscape.

A Professional Visitor with High Decision-Making Power

The Week attracts a highly specialised audience comprising installation companies, engineering firms, energy consultancies, investors, and managers of industrial and building installations. Their profile—focused on technical prescription and purchasing decisions—makes GENERA and MATELEC a strategic setting for exhibiting companies.

A Growing Event

The most recent edition brought together more than 57,000 professionals and over 800 exhibiting companies, strengthening its position as the leading national event for electrification, renewable energy, electrical materials, and installation modernisation. The 2026 edition aims to take an additional step forward in promoting green reindustrialisation, the electrification of buildings and industries, and the sector’s digital transformation.
