Wuxi, China – May 15, 2025 – Thornova Solar proudly announces the release of its 2024 ESG Report, reflecting continued progress in environmental performance, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The company achieved a Silver Sustainability Rating from Ecovadis, scoring 70 out of 100—a distinction that places Thornova Solar among the top 15% of companies evaluated globally.

Environmental Achievements
Thornova Solar significantly advanced its environmental goals in 2024:
- 21% reduction in total Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions, and a 52% reduction per megawatt (MW) produced, thanks to upgrades in intelligent energy management and equipment optimization.
- 21% reduction in total waste emissions, through expanded reuse of materials and implementation of reusable pallets.
- Further 4% decrease in electricity use per MW produced, building on a 52% reduction from 2022–2023.
Social Progress
The company continued to foster inclusivity and responsibility throughout its operations:
- Increased the female-to-male employee ratio to 47%, supported by internal advocacy for gender equality.
- Launched a supplier training program focused on social responsibility, ethics, and compliance, promoting supply chain transparency and fair business practices.
- At its new facility in Indonesia, Thornova Solar ensured full social security coverage for all employees and third-party labor, reinforcing its commitment to workers’ rights.
Governance Enhancements
Thornova Solar reinforced governance and compliance frameworks with several key initiatives:
- Conducted internal audits across quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety systems, in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and IEC62941 standards.
- Held a cybersecurity emergency drill in March 2024 to test the company’s response readiness and strengthen data protection measures.
- Increased R&D investment to nearly 4% of annual revenue, underscoring Thornova’s commitment to innovation and long-term resilience.
