The fifteen-year power purchase agreement between Asia Clean Capital Vietnam (ACC Vietnam) and Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam (UACV) was successfully signed at the UACV factory in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park. Under this agreement, ACC Vietnam will provide UACV a turnkey clean energy solution, powered with a 4.3 MWp rooftop solar PV system. The PV system is designed and built to meet the highest safety standards in a region hit every year by heavy storms and typhoons. With 7,172 modules installed, the system will generate 5,906.91 MWh and avoid 4,802.3 tons of CO2 annually helping UACV offset 27% of its current annual power demand.

On December 16, the commencement ceremony for this project was also held at UACV factory. The commencement ceremony was witnessed by board representatives from the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park Management, the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Danang and Vietnam ESG committee, DINCO Engineering & Construction Corporation, and notable leaders from Da Nang based progressive enterprises.

At the ceremony, Mr. Truong Hoang Nguyen, General Director of UACV stated: “At Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam, we have a vision of achieving net-zero emissions by 2035. Installing the rooftop solar PV system is one of the first major step that we are implementing in Vietnam to realize this vision. We want to operate with zero CO2 generation.

Besides, Universal Alloy Corporation is recycling 98% of our main raw material, aluminum. These actions prove our aspiration to be a leading green company in terms of ESG adoption.

I strongly believe, with the skills of our partners, the dedication of more than 800 UACV staff and the support from our strong corporate level, Montana Aerospace, we will bring this factory to the next level.”
