Upsolar, a leading international provider of solar PV modules, today announced it earned PassInnovation certification from the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB) on its systems incorporating the 3i SIT racking and mounting solution from 3i Plus. The CSTBs mission is to verify quality in sustainable construction through meticulous research and assessment.
To receive certification, both Upsolar and 3i Plus were subjected to comprehensive product evaluations to ensure a high level of system performance and safety. Earlier this year, Upsolar also obtained this certification in conjunction with SOLEOS Solar GmbH and Oxysoleil.
The rigorous certification process tests for adherence to national building codes, waterproofing capabilities, and resistance to mechanical loads and corrosion, and is a requirement for French PV system installations to be insured. The updated certifications give Upsolar greater access to the French PV market.
