The company also announced that its board has appointed Alex Dunn as interim CEO. Dunn currently serves as president for Vivint, Inc. and has been with the company for seven years.

Since that time, the company has grown to more than 600 employees, expanded into six states with close to 6,000 customers, and is averaging more than 32 new installations each day. Vivint Solar is generating 4.5MW/month in just 20 months of operations. This exceptional growth quickly established the company as second largest solar installer and one of the fastest-growing residential solar providers in the U.S.
