Winaico introduces its new QUANTUM PV module with high-efficiency cells at international exhibitions

Winaico, a subsidiary of Taiwan's biggest photovoltaic module manufacturer Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd., has presented its new high performance module with a nominal capacity of up to 285 W at PV Taiwan in Taipei and All-Energy Australia in Melbourne. Although the module has the same dimensions as the standard WINAICO modules (1665 x 999 x 40 mm), it has an astounding module efficiency of 17.15 %.

To achieve one of the highest efficiencies of mono panels in serial production, Winaico uses the combination of integrated rear side passivation and selective emitter technology (PERC). Thanks to the activation of the solar cell rear side and the passivation of the surface, the module achieves a higher light yield as well as a clearly improved temperature coefficient. For the customers the improved weak-light behavior and the increased efficiency at raised ambient temperature mean an increased specific annual yield.

“The Winaico WSP-M6 QUANTUM series sets a new technology standard. The interest of the visitors to the fair was accordingly very high. Especially the one family houses with smaller roof surfaces benefit from the excellent surface area efficiency of our WSP-M6 QUANTUM series,” said Sascha Rossmann, Vice President of Global Sales.

The participation in both exhibitions, PV Taiwan and All-Energy Australia, was not only because of the new QUANTUM series a great success; the visitors were also interested in the other modules of the product range and thus many conversations with good prospects have been held. New quantities of the QUANTUM module series will be available in February 2013.
