Optimized for low light

Besides its sophisticated look, the Black Pearl offers an increase in yield of at least three percent per year, as the company says. It has a product warranty for 10 years, a performance warranty of 90 percent within 10 years, and 80 percent within 25 years. It is optimized for roofs with no suitable south orientation, because the pyramidal patterned surface captures the light in case of small irradiation angles or with low lying sun, due to a light trap effect. Furthermore, the surface is smaller so that bigger particles (e.g. leaves) stick less easily than on flat glass.
