Ikea to install panels in California

The Swedish company stated that it is expecting to install a total of nearly 20,000 panels in order to generate an annual output of 6.65 million kilowatt hours of electricity. The 4.5 megawatts of solar panels will help to reduce 5,268 tons of carbon dioxide in California according to the company's U.S president Mike Ward.

Panels will be installed at stores in Burbank, Costa Mesa, Covina, East Palo Alto Emeryville, West Sacremento and San Diego as well as Ikea's distribution center in Tejon.
