Innovation continues to be a driver of the global PV industry. India is no exception as the sector continues to pursue the ambitious goal of 100 GW by 2022. But what is the latest status of innovative PV power plant componentry, design, and execution in India in 2018? And what are key drivers and constraints to the adoption of innovative products and approaches?

To answer these questions and more, pv magazine is bringing its Future PV Roundtable to the 12th Renewable Energy India Conference and Expo for the first time in 2018!

The pv magazine Future PV Roundtable will bring together a unique mix of technologists, equipment and material suppliers, and module and power electronics makers, together with investors and project developers, to investigate a wide range of issues pertaining to innovation.

Focus themes will include:

  • A ‘innovation case study discussion’ of bifacial technology, the challenges to widespread adoption right across the supply chain
  • Learnings from other industries about innovation in risk-adverse industries
  • The role of certification as a driver of innovations – in light of new BIS PV standards
  • ‘Next generation’ cell and module concepts and enabling materials
