SPI opens on optimistic note
The Solar Power International (SPI ) kicked off in Chicago with plenty of optimism. Rhone Resch, head of the U.S. Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), expects at least 5.5 GW of additional PV capacity in the U.S. this year. He also called for greater cooperation in the industry to ward off attacks by utilities and fossil fuel companies on the use of solar energy.
