EthoSolar and TecnoSun to manufacture PV tracking systems in Ontario

EthoSolar and its sister company, TecnoSun Solar Canada Inc. have announced they will establish a 50 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic tracking system manufacturing facility in Ontario, Canada. The move is part of a strategic partnership, developed with Germany-based TecnoSun Solar Systems AG.

Solarwatt is insolvent

Germany: China’s big boys deliver PV modules to 40 MW PV park

US installs "record" amount of PV in Q1; to exceed 3.2 GW in 2012

According to SEIA and GTM Research 506 MW of photovoltaics were installed in Q1 2012. This, they say, represents “more than any other first quarter on record.” Overall, it is predicted that 3.2 GW will be installed throughout the year. There are concerns for 2013, however.

Cloudy skies over Intersolar Europe

With mixed feelings and under darkened skies, Intersolar Europe started today in Munich. For the first time the number of exhibitors fell by 16 percent, compared to the previous year. In terms of visitor numbers, Solar Promotion’s Markus Elsässer said he also expects a slight decline.
