OPIC to fund 60 MW South African PV project
The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) will invest up to US$250 million in its first photovoltaic project in South Africa.
Fluor Corporation plans 170 MW PV project in California
Fluor Corporation has been awarded an EPC contract to construct a 170 MW photovoltaic plant in southern California by Centinela Solar Energy, LLC, a member of the LS Power Group. It is scheduled to be online by mid-2014.

India: Demand for RECs expected to rocket by 2016

In light of the current market conditions, Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd has temporarily reduced its photovoltaic cell production capacity in Wuxi, China. Around 1,500 employees have been affected by the decision.
LDK posts significant net loss; lowers FY revenues
