A 500 kW system has been completed in Ransomes Europark, Ipswich. EZsolar has managed to bring this project alive just before the new FIT was implemented.
Electricity from solar energy will be created through high efficiency PV modules installed on the roof. They will also help to save 230 tons of carbon each year.
The City Council has easily granted the planning permission to EZsolar who has been responsible for the design and the installation. The photovoltaic panels, which represent the largest part of the cost of installation, weigh 15 Kg each, representing a total of 32 tonnes were well within the loading capacity of the roof.
All panels are mounted on frames to improve their elevation to the sun. Four 100 kW inverters made by Zigor were used to achieve the installation.
