By the end of 2014 the largest Polish photovoltaic farm, Podlasie Solar Park, will be in operation.

It comprises of 4 farms with the total capacity of 4 MW which will be constructed in different locations – 2 plants in Kolno, one in Lipsk and one in Jedwabne. Amber Energia Wytwarzanie obtained financing for these projects from the European Union funds.

The company has also been waiting for the decision concerning the award of new subsidies with the total value of about 13 million PLN which shall be used for expanding the Podlasie Solar Park with three other farms.

"The solar energy industry is the fastest growing sector of RES in the world. There is only one independent solar farm with the capacity of 1 MW in southern Poland. Our farm will have four times greater power. Using the best global examples, we aim to create the foundations for the PV market in Poland, with an eye to prospective foreign," says Przemys?aw Pi?ta, Management Board President of Amber Energia Group.

The Polish RES market is waiting for a new regulation. The Members of the Parliament have been working on the final version of the RES act which shall initiate dynamic growth of the renewable energy market in Poland. Poland is one of the last high-potential PV markets in the world which is why it is worth considering investment in this sector, Przemys?aw Pi?ta encourages.
