Arab Energy Ministers, Prince Asem Bin Nayef and the solar community to convene in Jordan

The Arab Renewable Energy Commission will be holding the Arab Renewable Energy Congress on November 29 to 30, 2011 in Amman, Jordan under the patronage of HRH Prince Asem Bin Nayef.

Opened by the Jordanian Ministers of Energy, Environment & Public Works, Ministers from across the GCC and Levant regions have been invited to discuss the development of solar and renewable projects and frameworks.

Joining the discussions are national utilities companies including Saudi Electric Company and the Managing Director of NEPCO, as well as renewable energy authorities including NREA of Egypt’s Executive Chairman Eng. Abd Alrahman Salah Eldin.

The meeting is designed as business to business forum to connect international and local companies who look to play a part in developing a sustainable and profitable solar industry in the region.

Companies already confirmed to attend include Abengoa Solar, Kawar Energy, AcwaPower, Mubadala Development and MENA Cleantech as well as early event sponsors Amonix & Skyfuel.
