Arctech launches SkyLine II video showcasing its solution for land uncertainty

Arctech, the world's leading tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions provider, announced it just launched a new SkyLine II promotional video showcasing how Skyline II enables a new possibility of designing the plant using trackers with identical pile configuration, overcoming the uncertainty faced in the early stage of plant design and construction.

In traditional 1P tracker design, trackers are designed with different size foundations, and varying embedment depths, therefore along the perimeter of the field, the thicker & heavier foundations are required, whereas thinner and lighter foundations are found in the interior of the plant.

However, in a world filled with uncertainty, land ownership, construction permits, and site conditions are often in conflict with the tight construction schedule, when changes in layout occur, people are facing the risk of overturning the entire layout design and a delay in grid-connection which result in financial grief and loss.

Arctech’s rigid tracker SkyLine II with synchronous multi-point drive mechanism now offers a new solution of certainty. The synchronous multi-point drive mechanism technology rigidifies the tracker to the point of enabling 0deg wind stow mode, hence reducing the difference of wind pressure and post loads between the exterior and interior of the PV plant.

By doing so, Skyline II enables a new possibility of designing the plant using trackers with identical pile configuration, overcoming the uncertainty faced in the early stage of plant design and construction. There are no other ways for traditional trackers to achieve the same outcome and solve the problem without dismantling and replacing all trackers in the affected areas.

Last August, Arctech launched the world's first 1P single-axis tracker equipped with a pentagonal torque tube design and synchronous multi-point drive mechanism, apart from the merit brought by the multi-point mechanism on enabling 0deg wind stow mode, the tracker is equipped with 4 other innovations namely pentagonal torque tube design, Standardized design, Modular design, and New-generation AI tracking algorithms.
