We would like to issue a warning regarding counterfeit products.
It has come to our knowledge that the Italian company Suntechnology, Prato, Italy supplied Roof-In frameless solar panels, using the serial number and thereby certifications belonging to AIT Poland, without permission.
The counterfeit frameless panels was produced by polish producer Solar Future Energy, Brezko, Poland. As AIT Poland's serial numbers where laminated inside the glass, it is obvious that not only the seller, Suntechnology was involved in the counterfeit production. The reason for the illegal use of AIT Poland's identification was the simple fact that Solar Future Energy at the time of production, did not have valid certificates for frameless solar panels. Due to the bad quality of the counterfeit panels, we have been contacted by customers.
This way we became aware of the situation. The counterfeit panels where produced in 2012. The reclamations we so far have received have been for 75Wp Terra cotta colored panels. Further, the panels have AIT serial numbers laminated inside and Revolution6 labels on the backside. The Revolution6 labels was also used without permission. The counterfeit products seems to mainly been sold in Italy. We have informed our certification body about the situation and will also report to the GSE, in Italy.
