To mark this important phase, representatives from ELTODO, a.s. and IconVolt s.r.o. visited the factory and attended the shipment ceremony for the 230MWh batch. The visit included technical discussions, on-site inspections, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and commissioning training, providing an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration between all parties.
“The shipment of the final batch marks an important step in the execution of this project,” said Ryon You, Head of Utility-Scale Energy Storage of AlphaESS. “It demonstrates our ability to deliver complex, large-scale energy storage systems in close collaboration with our partners.”
According to AlphaESS, the project is equipped with its Aster 5000 energy storage system, designed for utility-scale applications. During the visit, customer representatives reviewed production processes, quality control procedures, and delivery execution.
The Aster 5000 system incorporates an active balancing battery management system (BMS) to improve cell consistency and extend battery life. It also features an intelligent thermal management system for stable operation under varying environmental conditions, as well as a dual fire protection design integrating multiple layers of detection and suppression.
The system is based on a 20-foot containerized design with liquid cooling and a capacity range of 3.76 MWh to 5.02 MWh, enabling flexible deployment across large-scale projects.
The shipment of the final 230 MWh batch marks the completion of this delivery phase, with the full 320 MWh project now shipped from China and pending delivery to the project site.
Once deployed, the project is expected to support grid stability and facilitate renewable energy integration in the Czech Republic, contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
