Adam Jan Glapiak brings several years of experience in technology and sales of photovoltaic systems to draw from in his new field of responsibility. Prior to his engagement with DEGERenergie, the former Energy Electronics Technician and Automation Engineer was employed at AS Solar, where he had been account manager in Hannover since 2008 and was later appointed Technical Sales Manager for Toronto, Ontario. Before that, he had been after sales service manager at Centrosolar.
In Ontario, we record a market share of more than 80 percent in the tracking systems sector. Our objective is to strengthen and expand this position, and to achieve similar success on the US market, says Glapiak. All forecasts and framework conditions indicate that the American market will turn into one of the strongest growing solar energy markets in the world within the next years.
The thirst for energy, above all in the sun belt of the American Southwest, continues unabated. Millions of air conditioning systems run day and night, from spring to fall. Each month, the average amount spent on electricity for a three to four person household is up to $500. At the same time, US citizens are worried about ever rising energy costs, be it electricity, gas or diesel fuel.
Another factor is the repeated power grid outages. Heavy storms and as we all know they are becoming increasingly frequent often cause large-area blackouts some for several days. Against this backdrop, people generating electricity themselves by means of MLD tracking are becoming independent of the grid and increasing prices. In short: Our systems increase energy security and contribute to cost savings in the long run.
Rainer Ott, sales director at DEGERenergie stated: We are glad Adam Glapiak has joined us as Account Manager for North America. He will support us in sustainably strengthening and expanding our leading position on this key market.
