In December 2025, the Dengkou 500MW / 2000MWh Energy Storage Project in Inner Mongolia was successfully commissioned. As the first GWh-scale project delivered by JDEnergy, it represents a significant step forward in the company’s large-scale project delivery capabilities and sets a new benchmark for utility-scale energy storage deployment.
The project comprises JDEnergy’s self-developed flagship string-type prefabricated energy storage system, Galaxy-1. Designed under an “All-in-One” architecture, Galaxy-1 integrates 314Ah LFP batteries, BMS, string PCS, fire protection, thermal management, power distribution, and communication systems into a standard 20-foot cabinet, ensuring high efficiency and enhanced safety.
Deployed under harsh desert and cold-climate conditions, Galaxy-1 has achieved its first large-scale grid-side application, demonstrating strong environmental adaptability and operational stability while providing a solid foundation for renewable energy development in Inner Mongolia.
In addition, powered by its self-developed eMind-Trader software, JDEnergy supports the project across the full operational process—from grid connection to participation in spot electricity markets, delivering fully integrated intelligent operations. This establishes an integrated value-chain approach spanning system integration, project delivery, and smart operations. By combining advanced hardware with intelligent software, the project significantly improves regional renewable energy integration while maximizing full lifecycle project value, balancing operational stability with economic performance.
After commissioning, the Dengkou energy storage project is expected to effectively smooth output fluctuations of wind and solar generation, substantially enhance grid flexibility and operational security, and deliver stable, high-quality green power to Inner Mongolia and the wider North China region. The project will also increase renewable energy utilization, reduce wind and solar curtailment, and support Inner Mongolia’s energy structure transition, contributing to China’s national carbon neutrality objectives.
Looking ahead, JDEnergy plans to continue increasing investment in innovation and operating as a comprehensive energy services provider, delivering more energy storage solutions to support decarbonization efforts and the ongoing energy transition.
