The new Mastervolt Soladin WEB inverter series has been shortlisted for the Solar Industry Awards 2013 in the Product of the Year category. The award focuses on people, processes and products that are driving the solar industry forward.
The consistent integration of internet technology in the inverter forms an integral part of the application submitted for the award. The Soladin WEB is the first inverter in which a seamless internet connection forms an integral part of the inverter concept. It combines web technology, easy installation and the technological quality of large-scale inverters in a compact device for smaller solar plants in households.
Despite its compact size, the Soladin WEB is the first inverter of its class to come as standard with integrated, easy-to-use Wi-Fi combined with free, user-friendly online monitoring via the IntelliWeb portal. This allows even owners of small plants to monitor their investment without any prior technical knowledge, additional devices or software.
The Soladin WEB is also the first inverter of its class whose firmware can be updated remotely via the internet. For easy installation, the inverter starts automatically once the modules are connected. After entering the Wi-Fi password, the Wi-Fi module connects automatically to the monitoring-portal. Further configurations are not necessary. The operation of the IntelliWeb portal is all about ease of use: The start screen displays the system's performance in real time, the total yield and the earnings all at one glance. A PV system using the Soladin WEB can be easily expanded and IntelliWeb is able to combine the data coming from several inverters in one chart.
