Menlo Electric is one of the top three EU distributors for world-leading solar module manufacturers, such as Jinko Solar and Risen Energy, as well as an official distributor of JA Solar, Sungrow (having signed a strategic agreement on 2 GW last month), SolarEdge, Solax, Deye, and FoxESS.
The UK Government has already set a target for all electricity to come from 100% zero-carbon generation by 2035. On 15 May 2023, the UK achieved a significant milestone by producing its trillionth kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity generated from renewable sources, enough to power UK homes for 12 years based on average consumption. While it took 50 years to reach this milestone, based on current projections, it will take just over five years to reach the next trillionth kWh.
In 2022, individual renewables contributed the following to the renewable mix: wind power (26.8%), biomass energy (5.2%), solar power (4.4%), and hydropower, including tidal (1.8%).
“It is anticipated that the UK's renewable capacity will increase dramatically over the next decade. By 2030, solar capacity could grow fivefold from 14 GW to roughly 70 GW.
