The devices and services will be fully adapted to the standards and requirements that apply within the U.S.
Fronius CL – the first range of central inverters with a modular system design on the US market
Fronius CL is the first central inverter series designed around a modular system that Fronius is offering to the U.S. market. The market launch phase for the Fronius CL 55.5 Delta and the Fronius CL 60.0 WYE 277 is to start at the beginning of 2011. The Fronius CL is ideally suited to commercial photovoltaics systems, with capacities of up to several hundred kilowatts. Commercial systems currently represent the largest market segment in the U.S., with very large growth potential predicted for the future.
The unique Fronius MIXTM concept guarantees maximum yield under all irradiation conditions. This means high system stability, long service life, maximum partial load efficiency, easy installation, a revolutionary service concept and low weight, making the Fronius CL a remarkable product. One of the benefits of using the device is that the resulting payback periods of the system are short.
With NEMA 3R protection and housed in an aluminium enclosure as standard, Fronius CL devices are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Fronius String Control 250/25 quick and easy detection of string faults
Fronius String Control 250/25 will be available on the U.S. market from the first quarter of 2011. This allows ever quicker and easier detection of string faults and is tailor-made for use with the Fronius CL series. Fronius String Control 250/25 is also a prerequisite for systems in the range above 30 kW. The connection compartment is optimised to comply with U.S.-specific installation requirements.
Fronius Personal Display DL for low-cost system monitoring
Fronius Personal Display DL will be launched in the U.S. market in the second quarter of 2011. It allows wireless transmission of inverter data for the continuous monitoring of all performance data of the PV system. Fronius Personal Display DL combines this information overview with the functions of a data logger, namely data capture and storage.
The micro USB port allows quick and easy transmission to a computer of data from up to 15 inverters. Retrofitting involves neither time nor money, as no wiring is needed. Fronius Personal Display DL thus represents a simple and low-cost method of system monitoring.
Fronius Service Partner programme a unique service with a personal touch
The unique Fronius Service Partner programme was established in Europe back in 2001. This successful concept is now also being introduced in the U.S. involving a technical training programme, allowing PV installers to service Fronius inverters themselves. This makes for quicker and simpler servicing. PV installers can offer their clients a first-class after-sales service without costly service and maintenance contracts. The installer remains independent of the replacement device service offered by an inverter manufacturer.
The Fronius Service Partner can also count on support from the service, marketing and sales departments – through the comprehensive Fronius Partnerweb information platform, for example: Datalogger Web WLAN.
The network-enabled Fronius Datalogger Web now offers a greater range of features, including practical WLAN functionality. Optionally available WLAN sticks can be connected via a new USB interface. Links to existing network structures can now be implemented very easily. The WLAN stick is configured using the Fronius Datalogger Web website. External components, such as a UMTS router, can now be powered by the new integrated power module function. Easy installation and effortless integration into existing wireless networks guarantee a rapid return on investment. The new Fronius Datalogger Web features have been available on the U.S. market since October 2010.
Fronius in the US market
Delivering local expertise Fronius Solarelektronik has operated a sales subsidiary in Brighton, Michigan (USA) since 2004. The USA has high strategic significance for Fronius and is therefore served by a dedicated team focusing specifically on this market. In this way, development projects can be focussed and implemented according to a different schedule from European business. Fronius can match its equipment and services to the specific needs of the U.S. market, with local knowledge allowing a rapid response to U.S.-specific standards.
