John Wu, CEO of SPI, has announced the appointment of Thomas Utrup as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Tom joined SPI on March 28, just in time to represent the company at the PV America Conference & Trade Show in Philadelphia on April 3 to 5.
Tom brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. His career spans more than 25 years with solid Sales Management and General Management expertise; especially within a manufacturing environment like SPIs. He has a strong background in emerging alternative energy technologies including Solar, Alternative Fuel Systems, and Heavy Duty Hybrid-Electric Drive Systems & Vehicles.
His success record with premiere companies like Daimler, and his experience working with major contracting customers will make him a tremendously valuable resource for the companys photovoltaic module and system customers.
