In the coming weeks, PowerField will install batteries for the storage of solar energy. These batteries will be installed at the Dutch solar parks in Valthermond and Wanneperveen and are PowerField’s first projects where solar energy is combined with energy storage. With 52 MWh, the battery in Wanneperveen will be one of the largest batteries in the Netherlands.
LONGi has announced that it has received a CSR award from the Pakistani National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) and the CSR Club for its outstanding contribution to the country’s environmental status.
Interest in N-type bifacial modules has rapidly increased due to their ability to generate more power than conventional P-type bifacial thanks to their higher bifacial factor, lower degradation, lower temperature coefficient in addition more energy density and power class.
Huawei’s Smart String-level Disconnection (SSLD) tech for PV plant safety gained certificate of low-voltage circuit breaker (IEC60947-2) from DEKRA and Intertek respectively, which is the 1st vendor to get the certificates by using the innovative smart string shutdown tech.
Imagine the future, in which renewables will be the primary source of electricity generation, much of it from wind and solar plants. The power system impedance will become increasingly higher and the power system inertia will decline. As a result, the power system will become weak with a huge instability in both voltage and frequency.
On February 25, Energy3000 Solar GmbH, a well-known Austrian photovoltaic company, visited TW Solar and successfully met a 3-year 1GW framework agreement. Mr. Christian Bairhuber, Founder and CEO of Energy3000 Solar GmbH, and together with other team members attended the signing ceremony and exchanged views with Mr. Chen Fangzhou, the Head of TW Solar’s overseas sales.
– LGES, Ford, and Koç Holding sign non-binding MOU to build one of the largest commercial electric vehicle battery cell production facilities in the wider European region
– Project on track to break ground near Ankara, Turkey, later this year, with production to start in 2026, supporting Ford’s target of producing 2 million+ electric vehicles globally by 2026
– Annual production capacity at new facility at least 25 Gigawatt hours (GWh), which could potentially expand up to 45 GWh, to manufacture battery cells
Process for recovering all valuable metals, including lithium, from “black mass” resulting from the mechanical upstream battery recycling process
Tenova’s proprietary technology allows efficient recovery of lithium from end-of-life batteries and battery production scrap
BASF will implement the innovative process in its battery recycling prototype plant in Schwarzheide, Germany
From today, GoodWe, the world’s leading manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters and energy storage systems, opens new offices in Madrid to support a market in continuous growth.
South Africa is facing a state of national disaster due to ongoing energy challenges, including frequent power cuts and load shedding. However, there is hope for South Africa in the form of solar energy solutions.
