Rainwise Inc. has recently released the PVmet Solar Energy Efficiency Monitor, a solar specific weather station designed for PV plant installations. Unique to the PVmet are the back-of-module temperature sensor and two key irradiance sensors that provide information fundamental to performing key panel efficiency calculations. These attributes are not available any where else in a single, compact weather station unit.
The PVmet is easy to install and available in three models to fit any solar plant environment. Launched at the end of 2011, the PVmet Solar Energy Efficiency Monitor is the first weather station to be recognized by SunSpec Alliance for compatibility with industry plant management systems and has already sold 500 units to two of the top inverter manufacturers worldwide.
