Segen has announced a new partnership with solar panel manufacturer WINAICO in order to help reduce the impact of the EU anti-dumping tariffs on the Solar PV industry. Segen will be stocking the WINAICO WSP-P6 250W Poly, a competitively priced panel, manufactured in Taiwan and therefore not subject to the EU tariffs.
The WSP-P6 series was recently awarded a first class PVUSA Test Condition (PTC) power rating by Go Solar California. Unlike the Standard Test Conditions (STC) Rating, the PTC takes into account varying temperatures, power tolerance and other variables that a panel will endure in its lifetime which are not present in STC lab conditions.
WINAICO solar panels are constructed using top quality components, giving them a higher, long-term performance. The unique frame is made from solid aluminium and delivers maximum stability and protection from material fatigue. It also includes innovative rounded corner pieces and is attached pneumatically, guaranteeing maximum distortion rigidity and water tightness.
Unlike a silicone seal, WINAICO uses a unique adhesive tape to bond the glass to the frame, this offers excellent resistance to heat, UV light and chemical attack as well as keeping out dirt and moisture. It is also very durable and balances out the different expansion rates of glass and aluminium without causing stress to the panel.

This covers systems against damage to property, losses resulting from interruptions to operation and potential reduced yield. The end-user receives this cover as standard once registering their product which can be extended for a further eight years.
