The Singulus Technologies AG (Singulus) starts the active marketing of vacuum coating machines for thin-film solar cells and presents the technology to the professional attendees at the 27th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (27th EU PVSEC) in Frankfurt from September 24 to 28, 2012.

A long-time cooperation partner for the development of new, more efficient CIGS/CIS thin-film solar modules sets up a new inline semi-commercial production line for CIGS/CIS cells for market-customary module sizes of 1200 x 600 mm and amongst others has ordered a first vacuum coating machine for this size from Singulus. The new machine has the particular feature that it can be used for the vertical vacuum coating of glass substrates. Hence, Singulus develops a new work area in the sharply growing thin-film photovoltaics market and expands the offer of production equipment for the manufacturing of CIGS/CIS cells.

Dr.-Ing. Stefan Rinck, CEO of Singulus Technologies AG, comments: “Following the recent delivery of an F&E machine, we can now offer such a line with process know-how and therefore continue to strengthen our position as a development partner for thin-film solar manufacturers.”

At the 27th EU PVSEC in Frankfurt numerous other product innovations will also be presented for the work area of photovoltaics.
