Solar power monitoring: meteocontrol aims at markets in China and Japan

Augsburg, 28/04/2014 – meteocontrol’s monitoring portal safer’Sun Public is now available in two additional languages. System operators in the Asian region will soon be able to monitor and assess their solar yields in Chinese and Japanese. Starting in May 2014, the safer’Sun Professional monitoring portal and the VCOM virtual control room will also be available in both languages for large-scale installations. This is the company’s response to growing demand and the largest global market expansion ever in the photovoltaic industry, according to analyst forecasts. Alliance with Unisun Energy As an independent service provider for all project phases, meteocontrol provides technical operations management for solar energy installations around the world. meteocontrol has also established a strong partnership with Wuxi Unisun Energy Co., Ltd. in China. The framework agreement covers the technical operations management of solar parks with a total power capacity of 300 MWp for the current year. To ensure cultural and technological consistency, both companies are focusing attention on sharing know-how through transparent communication and close collaboration. In January of this year, nine Unisun Energy employees attended meteocontrol’s week-long introductory and advanced training sessions in Augsburg, Germany. Technical Support by meteocontrol, based in Hong Kong, provides customers with constant on-site assistance. From May 20 to 22, 2014, partners and customers will have an opportunity to experience meteocontrol’s products and services by visiting Stand E2-363 at the SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai. The company is also participating in the PV Expo 2015 in Japan.
