The successful integration means Solis inverters are now compatible with FEAK, enabling Solis to continue supplying the Hungarian residential solar market in line with new legislation that comes into force for residential solar plants.
What’s changing in Hungary – and why it matters
Hungary is introducing new regulations that require inverter manufacturers to securely provide operational data from small household solar systems (under 50 kVA) to FEAK, the state-appointed Energy Data Platform Operator. Only manufacturers that have completed FEAK integration and signed the required cooperation agreements are permitted to sell compliant inverters in the Hungarian market.
With testing complete and results approved, Solis is now fully aligned with these requirements.
A smooth path forward for installers and homeowners
For installers, distributors, and homeowners, this confirmation provides clarity and confidence:
· Solis inverters remain fully approved for installation in Hungary
· Systems comply with national data-provision obligations
· No additional hardware or additional configuration is required
· Data transmission is handled securely via Solis’ existing monitoring platform, with datacentres located in Frankfurt, Germany.
The integration was completed following extensive technical validation and cooperation with FEAK and the Hungarian Ministry of Energy, ensuring full alignment with national standards, including grid compliance and voltage protection requirements.
Solis’ commitment to local compliance and long-term markets
“Solis has worked closely with FEAK and the Hungarian authorities to ensure full compliance with the new framework,” said Sandy Woodward, Solis’ European General Manager, “This milestone reinforces our long-term commitment to the Hungarian market and ensures installers and homeowners can continue to choose Solis with confidence as regulations evolve.”
Hungary’s regulatory update is part of a broader European trend toward smarter grids, greater system visibility, and more robust data-driven energy management — areas where Solis continues to invest heavily across hardware, software, and grid-ready functionality.
