Sudberry reflects responsibility: Civita goes solar with Clary

ClarySolar and Sudberry will complete one-of-a-kind solar installation system this october. A project that will generate 147.8kW of electricity for the Civita project started in the heart of San Diego city. Developed by Sudberry Properties, Civita plans for the 230-acre property call for 4,780 residential homes and apartments in numerous configurations, approximately 480,000 square feet for a lifestyle retail center and 420,000 square feet for an office/business campus.

Sudberry development Inc. has developed the Town Center components in many of San Diego County's premiere master planned communities based on its reputation for creating "special" public places that combine landscaping color and shading. The company undertakes retail, commercial and residential developmental projects. Company’s commitment to community development projects has earned it a place in publications of the Congress for the New Urbanism and National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The project Civita is a new transit-oriented village in San Diego’s Mission Valley that is transforming a 70-year-old community into a place that incorporates all sorts of urban conveniences. Located in the heart of San Diego with easy access to the San Diego Trolley, Civita is surrounded by extensive shopping, gourmet dining, entertainment, educational opportunities, employment centers, top heath care providers and nearby outdoor activities. “It is a great achievement for the industry”, said Junaid Qazi, the COO at ClarySolar, “such collaborations will increase the development of alternate energy resources and will present new business models for energy sectors worldwide.”
