Sungrow Leadingly Drafts the National Standard of PV Inverter in China
Beijing, China, Jan. 18, 2014 On Dec. 31, 2013, the No. 27 Chinese national standard of 2013 was jointly issued by AQSIQ(1) and SAC(2), including GB/T 30427-2013: The Technical Requirements & Test Methods of Grid-Connected PV Inverters which was leadingly drafted by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., and it will take effect on Aug. 15, 2014. This standard is a clarified regulation to the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of grid-connected PV inverter which is key equipment of the whole PV power generating system, and provides authoritative criteria to PV inverters design, manufacture, test, certification and other processes. As early as in 2005, Sungrow had already undertaken the major responsibility of writing the national standard of grid-connected PV inverter entrusted by CNIS(3), owing to the companys leading position in the field of renewable energy power supply. In 2007, SAC officially launched the plan (No. 20074654-T-339) of developing this standard. Along with some other professionals in China, Sungrow was authorized to fulfilling this standard by means of repeated discussion and numerous tests according to the latest PV technology development at home and aboard. Thanks to all the great support from CEC(4), EPRI(5) and other relevant institutions, the standard was finalized after several rounds of expert review and successfully received approval from MIIT(6), AQSIQ and SAC recently. At present, China becomes increasingly strict of PV power generation with regard to feeding into the grid to meet the advanced level of international market. Bothof GB/T 19964-2012: The Technical Regulation of PV Power Plants Connect to the Power System and GB/T 29319-2012: The Technical Regulation of PV Power Generating Systems Connect to the Power Distribution Grid have been issued and implemented. Those national standards will promote the technological development of PV inverter industry and adjust the markets structure accordingly. Chinese PV inverter companies, such as Sungrow, show a significant improvement of technical merit and will ultimatelybenefit from this standardization in global competition.
