The InnoLas Systems ILS TT DS laser processing system is equipped with laser source(s) and two optics for high throughput. Using the appropriate laser source and optics, the ILS TT DS can be used for both, Contact Opening and Selective Emitter Doping. Both process steps are important for a high efficiency of crystalline solar cells. InnoLas Systems has recently delivered six such systems to a large manufacturer of PV cells. This customer uses the ILS TT in a production line with several 100 MW production capacity.
InnoLas Sytems will present the concept of this twin laser system at the upcoming EU PVSEC trade show (stand 3.0/G17b, Frankfurt a. M., 24.-28. September), where visitors will have a chance to discuss the concept with InnoLas experts.
The ILS TT DS is designed to use laser sources and optics that are optimized for a given application. This allows to combine the main processing steps for PERC cells with local rear contacts in one system. PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact) increases the efficiency crystalline solar cells to far above 19%. The ILS TT DS system allows a throughput of up to 3600 cells per hour.
InnoLas CEO Richard Grundmüller: "We see a growing demand for upgrading existing manufacturing plants to produce solar cells with higher efficiency. The ILS TT DS system is designed for easy integration into existing production lines, giving our customers a clear competitive advantage."
