WINAICO, a subsidiary of Taiwan´s biggest photovoltaic module manufacturer Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd., has started production of a 48 cell version of its popular high efficiency QUANTUM series module. The new high performance module with a nominal capacity of up to 220 W has one of the highest outputs among 48 cell modules in serial production.
The module has the same dimensions as the standard WINAICO Blackline Poly 48 cell modules (1347x999x40 mm), but with an astounding module efficiency of 16.35 %. To achieve this efficiency, WINAICO uses a combination of integrated rear side passivation and selective emitter technology (PERC) technology. Thanks to the activation of the solar cell rear side and the passivation of the surface, the module achieves a higher light yield as well as a clearly improved temperature coefficient. For the customers the improved weak-light behavior and the increased efficiency at raised ambient temperature mean an increased specific annual yield.
This new series offers residential customers a module with one of the highest outputs per square meter that is available on the market. The module was especially developed for the Japanese spaced constrained rooftop market in order to ensure the maximum performance generated for our customers. Our relentless investment in R&D and process optimization has yielded a module with a 10-20 % higher nominal output than the commonly available 48 cell modules.
Furthermore the exclusive use of Taiwanese cells and PERC technology results in a module efficiency rate of 16.35 % which is an excellent result for a 48 cell module.
