The French independent power producer is planning the construction of a 200 MW solar facility in the Argentinean province of Tucumán.

The Armenian government said the new commission will supervise the development of six solar projects totaling 110 MW.

The Sol Real project is the largest PV plant built in the Central American country to date.

The signing of the PPAs was expected to enable financial closure of several PV and wind power projects being developed under South Africa’s REIPPPP program.

Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Electricity Board has issued a tender for the construction of 60 PV power plants with a capacity of 1 MW each. Bids must be submitted by April 26.

The approved project is the $200 million Alwa solar plant. The installation will be located in northern Chile.

Solar dominated the first round of the Netherlands’ 2017 SDE+ program for large-scale renewable energy projects, accounting for 69.4% of all preassigned capacity. Overall, 4,484 PV projects proposals totaling 2,647 MW were accepted.

The British developer has completed PV projects totaling 130 MW in the UK. All the plants were connected in time for the 31 March 1.2 ROC deadline.

The Spanish developer said the project will be completed in 2018, and will sell power to private customers on the wholesale market.

The Finnish power utility has completed its third large-scale PV plant in India. The 70 MW Bhadla solar park is located in the state of Rajasthan.
