Bifacial Modules with transparent backsheet – performance & reliability

Although large solar PV systems with bifacial modules are still quite new to the market, many questions that were asked during the launch phase can now be answered with some certainty thanks to the availability of data.

In this webinar, Mohamed Saady, Technical Services Manager Middle East & Africa at JinkoSolar, will discuss the requirements for bifacial modules in detail. Our initiative partner offers high-efficiency modules with already high front-side performance and a 30-year warranty. This speaks to long reliability, but customers want to know how durable transparent backsheets are in the hot climates of the Middle East and North Africa, and how to take precautions against failure.

Our second guest, Tristan Erion-Lorico, Head of PV Module Business at PV Evolution Labs (PVEL), will present durability testing results for transparent backsheets and bifacial reliability data from PVEL’s Product Qualification Program, an independent test program that goes beyond certification standards to provide data that mitigates technology risk in procurement. He will also present bifacial performance data from PVEL’s utility scale-representative single-axis tracker study.

Content:

  • How to make sure bifacial systems are performing as expected?
  • Overview of bifacial technology: Key features and performance
  • Transparent backsheet: technology and benefits compared to glass- glass modules
  • Case studies

Questions can be submitted beforehand or during the webinar through a chat window.
