Rooftop & TOPCon: Appraising the benefits of TOPCon PV modules on LCOE for distributed generation project

View Webinar Video

In this pv magazine Webinar, we will learn about the premium technical features of TOPCon technology highlighting the impact on the LCOE of distributed generation (DG) projects, including calculation of the yield benefit for different environmental conditions and installation types to support project developers, EPC contractors, stakeholders for practical component selection decisions. Different business cases will be introduced and discussed to ascertain how TOPCon technologies may also be considered for improving a DG project’s quality and viability.

Rooftop & TOPCon: Appraising the benefits of TOPCon PV modules on LCOE for distributed generation project

TOPCon solar modules are constantly gaining market shares and are now set to compete with PERC and heterojunction panels on a global scale. The current market perception, however, is that these products may only achieve higher LCOEs in large scale projects, where economies of scale help compensate their initial higher costs.

Chinese manufacturer JinkoSolar wants to disprove this common belief and show its n-type TOPCon products are also suitable to achieve higher financial and power yields in rooftop commercial and industrial PV projects as well as in small ground-mounted solar parks.

In this pv magazine Webinar, Waleed Alhallaj, JinkoSolar’s Business Development Manager for MENA, will focus on the premium technical features of TOPCon technology highlighting the impact on the LCOE of distributed generation (DG) projects, including calculation of the yield benefit for different environmental conditions and installation types to support project developers, EPC contractors, stakeholders for practical component selection decisions. Different business cases will be introduced and discussed to ascertain how TOPCon technologies may also be considered for improving a DG project’s quality and viability. Joining this discussion with be Sebastian Mack, PV Production Technology Researcher at Fraunhofer ISE.

pv magazine Webinar content:
